Edition 28- May 2011

The Board of the Atlanta Holland Club and the Netherlands American Chamber of Commerce for the
Southeastern United States cordially invites you
Fokker event 2011
Fokker; Aircrafting;
Design for the future, build on the past.

2011 is the year we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the "license to fly" of Anthony Fokker.
The flight above the city of Haarlem in 1911 is seen as one of the first milestones of the Aviation industry
in the Netherlands. Already 15 years later Fokker was active in the USA and became the biggest
aircraft manufacturer in the USA.
Today 15 years ago the company Fokker stopped making complete aircraft and a new company
emerged out of it.
This new Fokker is active in the USA and on a healthy growth path to the future,
together with customers, partners, suppliers and employees.

                                                                 Program

                             6.00 pm Welcome

6.15 pm Presentation Guido Frenken, Account Director
Business Jets followed by drinks & appetizers*

The presentation will deal with some parallels between the two 15 year periods.
It will cover the challenges of the more recent pioneering as experienced by the presenter in the USA.
Designing and engineering innovative products is the focus of many, but to enable success,
a proper design of the business parameters and business model in combination with a sound business approach
for the USA are as important.

Since 2008, Guido Frenken has lived in Atlanta and represented Fokker Aerostructures division
in sales, customer relations and business development.
From Atlanta he has pioneered the so-called global footprint plans for the Aerostructures division
in expanding to the America's, leading to breakthroughs in 2011.
